Day of the Event Volunteer Roles: · Intake and Guest Services Volunteers: These volunteers will assist with intake of each guest that comes to the event. These volunteers will be responsible for sitting down and talking with each guest that comes to the event (if the guest wants – this is not mandatory). During this conversation, volunteers will ask the guest some questions (these questions will be provided). The purpose of asking these questions is to help the guest connect with the services they most need and want. After the intake, the volunteer will hand the guest a "map" of all of the services available, circling recommendations for the guest (these are just recommendations). If the guest would like, the volunteer can walk with them and show them where all of the services they are interested in can be found. The volunteer will introduce the guest to the service providers they want to talk with, answer any questions the guest has, and simply listen to and support the guest while they are at Project Homeless Connect.
